The Popular Music project focuses on unforgettable hits of Czech and foreign music that have become part of pop culture. This project offers a wide repertoire of songs from current hits to popular songs from the 80s and 90s that still win the hearts of listeners today.
The project has a flexible format that can be adapted to different types of events. Songs can be performed with musical backing, which is ideal for smaller spaces, or with guitar, piano or drums, which allows for different sonic nuances and color of the performance.
Duo
In the musical duo project, Lenka collaborates with two artists, so the program can be presented in two formats – with guitar and with piano.
For the guitar format, Israeli guitarist Omer Josef joins the project, bringing a fresh and sophisticated sound to the song repertoire with his energetic playing.
Omer Josef, guitarist, pianist and composer, began his musical career in Israel, where he quickly received prestigious offers from European music circles. He currently lives in Prague and collaborates with leading Czech and foreign musicians.
Combining singing with piano accompaniment, the musical accompaniment will be provided by Sára Bukovská, whose versatile abilities in various genres will add depth and passion to the songs.
Sára Bukovská is a pianist, composer and music director who has become famous not only in the Czech Republic but also abroad. She studied piano at the Pilsen Conservatory and subsequently completed a modern composition seminar in Paris. Her artistic career includes successes on several foreign tours in Japan and Europe. In the Czech Republic, she collaborates with musical theaters, orchestras and record companies. Thanks to her versatility and ability to work with various musical genres, Sára is a sought-after concert artist, ranging from opera to jazz and chanson. She has collaborated with prominent figures such as Lucie Bílá, Václav Noid Bárta or violinist Gabriela Demeterová.
Band
For concerts requiring the full sound of a pop band, Lenka collaborates with leading Czech musicians who take her projects to a new level. This formation combines strong basic rhythms with energetic guitar riffs and modern keyboard arrangements. Each band member brings their unique skills and experience to the music, creating an unmistakable sound that will appeal to a wide audience.
Trio
The musical trio is a unique fusion of modern pop music that delivers an intense and energetic experience for every listener.
For an even more dynamic sound, both duos are complemented by the drums of leading Czech drummers, who bring a rhythmic pulse to each performance that adds vibrancy and tension to the songs. Their precise playing not only underscores the melodic lines, but also creates a solid foundation for all the other instruments and vocals. The rhythm is what ties all the elements of the trio's music together and ensures that the performance never loses its intensity.
